AEL Hotel

At the AEL Hotel, you can spend the night in peace and quiet right next to the AEL Campus buildings in Malmikartano, Helsinki. Malminkartano is a short 10 minutes from downtown Helsinki.

The Hotel offers 30 one-person rooms and 40 double rooms, all comfortable with no smoking.

Each room has a shower, hair dryer, television, phone and small fridge. The cost of the room includes a breakfast the next morning and access to the sauna, swimming pool and exercise room.

Sauna and swimming pool

Sauna and swimming pool are available for resident use. The sauna is hot from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Free time activities

The exercise room at AEL has all of the standard work-out equipment. Billiards and table tennis can be found near the exercise room and air hockey are darts in the AEL Hotel lobby.

Internet

A free Internet connection is available for your use in the AEL Restaurant and a wireless network in the hotel building.

Transportation

The Hotel is located near stops for several different transportation alternatives. A commuter train will bring you to downtown Helsinki in just 15 minutes and the local bus will take 30 minutes. There is plenty of free parking space.

The fee includes breakfast, sauna and use of the exercise room. The price includes VAT: 8% for the lodging, 22% for other services.

Changes in VAT as of 1 July 2010
The value added tax (VAT) of all products and services will change in Finland as of 1 July 2010. The VAT rate for accommodation services will increase from 8% to 9%, while the VAT rate for restaurant services will decrease from 22% to 13%.

Reception for the AEL Hotel is located in building 1 of the AEL Campus, near customer service. The reception is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday  7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Cancellation policy

Reservations for accomodation need to be made promptly, at the latest one day before your arrival. Reservations that have not be cancelled will be charged for the full cost of one night's stay.
